Project Description

It is the first large scale inner London scheme to be delivered to this level of sustainability and provides 60 high quality homes for affordable rent and part buy, part rent, including a high percentage of large family houses and apartments.

The development has so many eco features to reduce its carbon footprint that these homes will be 44% better than a standard home in terms of CO2 emissions, energy efficiency and environmental sensitivity.

The site was purchased by L&Q from the London Borough of Lambeth in March 2006 for 100% affordable housing 'with low energy requirements'. Lambeth Borough Council has identified One Vale Street as the borough's key sustainability demonstration project.

Gale and Daws were contracted to do all electrical works, including door entry and TV systems.
